She Entrepreneur is a non-profit with programs that promote entrepreneurship, job market skills and financial literacy. The organisation which was founded in 2015 primarily targets females in its programming. At the core, the organisation believes in adapting programs according to context and demographics of target groups and is therefore deliberate about creating resources for different groups. She Entrepreneurs work contributes towards the fulfilment of SDG 5 and 8.
The Founders Circle under She Entrepreneur aims to support young adult female entrepreneurs. Female entrepreneurs require knowledge resources, technical and financial support but also a support network. She Entrepreneur working with partners assists with business formalisation, business development and linkages to the market. With the end goal of shaping an enterprise into one that creates decent jobs, contributes to economic growth and poverty eradication.
The organisation began hosting workshops in 2016 and mainly targets tertiary students entrepreneurs in start up and early stage.
Job Market Skills Training
Job readiness workshops are provided in order to improve marketability on the job market. This includes CV writing, branding and soft skills workshop.
Financial Literacy -Enkindle Project
The organisation’s signature financial literacy program Enkindle, targets school children. The mode of delivery is a training facilitated to teachers who roll out to pupils. Enkindle incorporates activity based lessons that enable pupils to easily understand financial literacy concepts. In 2019, the organisation trained close to 200 teachers and students teachers in Lusaka and Southern Province.
